Paul Sleigh and Dan Geneste
are pleased to present Bardsly, the festival-goer's new best friend. Read on to learn how to use it to make
your musical experience more satisfying.
Artists
Tap on the Artists tab to see a list of all the artists
attending this festival, grouped by the region they hail from. Tap on the artist's image or label to see
full details. In particular, note the icons for social media and websites. Take a stroll through their
videos and music clips to get a good preview of their sound. If you like them, tap the heart icon to say so:
Bardsly will remember which artists you like.
Use the toggle button up the top of the screen to limit your view just to the artists you like. When the
festival is jam-packed, this is a good way to find the artists you like so you can show their music to your
friends.
Shows
Tap on the Shows tab to see a timetable of every show in every
venue on every day of the festival. Scroll up, down, left and right to take in the whole picture. Tap an
individual show to see the artists and a map to the venue. If you want to know more about an individual
artist, you can tap the icon just like you did on the artists page. If a show looks like a good time, tap
the star to keep track of it.
On the show page, the toggle button half-hides the shows you haven't liked or starred. Sometimes, shows
might be unhidden even if you don't star them -- that's because they include an artist you've liked! Check
them out to make sure you're not missing a gig.
Coming soon: a full timetable of all your starred shows, with times and venues so you can have the
most efficient festival ever!
Add as an app
Save Bardsly to your phone screen so you can use it like an app. Open the Bardsly website for
your favourite festival in your phone's web browser. On Android, tap the browser menu and choose Add
To Home Page. On iPhone, choose Share, scroll down the menu, and choose Add To Home Screen. If
you want, change the name to something short enough to appear on the icon - by default it will say "Bardsly
for [name of festival]" which may be too long for your screen. The website is now listed as an app and can
be added to your screen wherever you like.
Attention: Festival Committees!
If you feel like your festival could benefit from its own Bardsly, give Paul a call or text on
0407 468 244 or email info@bardsly.com.
For a very competitive fee, you could find your life made much easier too!
