Help
Use the menu button at the top right of your screen to choose a page. The really useful ones are:
Artists
Choose the Artists page to see all the artists attending this festival. Tap on the artist's image to see full details. Note the icons for social media and websites. Take a stroll through their videos and music clips to get a good preview of their sound. If you like them, tap the heart icon: Bardsly will remember which artists you like.
On the Artists page, the toggle button at the top right of the screen will limit your list to just the artists you have Liked.
Shows
Choose the Shows page to see a festival timetable. Scroll up, down, left and right to take in the whole picture. Tap an individual show to see the artists and a map to the venue. If you want to know more about an individual artist, you can tap the icon just like you did on the Artists page. If a show looks like a good time, tap the star to add it to your personal timetable.
On the Shows page, the toggle button half-hides the shows you haven't liked or starred. Sometimes, shows might be unhidden even if you don't star them -- that's because they include an artist you've liked! Check them out to make sure you're not missing a gig.
Timetable
Press the button to generate and download a timetable of all the shows you have Starred. If there's a clash, go back and make the choice. You can generate the timetable as often as you like.
The cunning trick is to first Like the artists that interest you, then use the toggle switch on the Shows page to see what shows they're in and Star the ones you want to see. Generate timetables until you've fixed all the clashes to your satisfaction, and print or save the final timetable so you don't need to rely on a cluttered, out-of-date paper programme.
Add as an app
Save Bardsly to your phone screen so you can use it like an app. Open the Bardsly website for your favourite festival in your phone's web browser. On Android, tap the browser menu and choose Add To Home Page. On iPhone, choose Share, scroll down the menu, and choose Add To Home Screen. If you want, change the name to something short enough to appear on the icon - by default it will say "Bardsly for [name of festival]" which may be too long for your screen. The website is now listed as an app and can be added to your screen wherever you like.
Attention: Future Festival Committees!
If you feel like your festival could benefit from its own Bardsly, give Paul a call or text on 0407 468 244 or email info@bardsly.com. For a very competitive fee, you could find your life made much easier too!
